Red Ribbon Club has been formed in 1993 to spread awareness regarding symptoms, causes and consequences of HIV/AIDS.

Red Ribbon Club is a movement started bythe Government of India in schools and colleges through which, students willspread awareness over HIV / AIDS. It envisages to instill charity mind amongall the students to extend their able help towards developing healthy lifestyles, donating blood to all the needy by promotion of Regular voluntary blooddonation.

RED RIBBON CLUB GUIDELINES

Thesignificance of Red Ribbon in HIV / AIDS is:

·        Red likeLove, as a symbol of passion and tolerance for those affected.

·        Red likeBlood, representing the pain caused by many people who have of AIDS.

·        Red likethe anger about the helplessness about which we are facing for a disease forwhich there is still no cure.

·        Red is asign of warning not to carelessly ignore one of the biggest problems of ourtime.

RED RIBBON SYMBOL

The red ribbon is a symbol for both drugprevention and for the fight against AIDS. The Red Ribbon foundation is anorganization founded in 1993 whose main purpose is the education aboutprevention of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus or HIV, Acquired DeficiencySyndrome Related Complex, ARC and AIDS.
